Welcome to Hicks Furniture. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all quotations, sales, and services provided by Hicks Furniture unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1. General Information

Hicks Furniture designs and manufactures bespoke furniture, joinery, and interiors for commercial and private clients. All work is carried out in accordance with the agreed specification, drawings, and finishes confirmed in writing prior to manufacture.

2. Quotations and Orders

All quotations are valid for 10 days unless otherwise stated. Prices exclude VAT and delivery unless specified.
Orders are accepted only upon receipt of written confirmation and/or deposit payment. Hicks Furniture reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders at its discretion.

3. Payment Terms

Unless stated otherwise, full payment is required prior to delivery or installation.
For contract or large-scale projects, stage payments may apply (e.g. deposit / progress / final balance).
Goods remain the property of Hicks Furniture until payment is received in full.
Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations 2002.

4. Special and Custom Orders

All bespoke, customised, or special-order products are made to client specification and cannot be cancelled, refunded, or exchanged once production has commenced.
Lead times are estimates only and subject to material availability. Any design or specification change requested after confirmation may result in additional cost and revised delivery dates.

5. Returns, Restocking & RMA Policy

  • Returns are accepted only with prior written authorisation from Hicks Furniture.
  • An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number must be obtained before any goods are shipped back.
  • Items returned without a valid RMA will be refused.
  • Approved non-custom returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25 % of the order value, plus transport and handling charges.
  • Custom or made-to-order items are non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • All returned goods must be unused, in original packaging, and received within 14 days of RMA approval.

6. Delivery and Installation

Delivery and installation dates are estimates only. Hicks Furniture shall not be liable for delays beyond its control, including supply-chain issues, weather, or site access restrictions.
Risk in the goods transfers to the buyer upon delivery or installation. Insurance thereafter is the buyer’s responsibility.

7. Warranty and Liability

All products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from delivery.
This warranty excludes:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse or improper care or maintenance
  • Third-party installation or alteration

Our liability will not exceed the contract value of the goods supplied. Hicks Furniture shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.

8. Intellectual Property

All drawings, design, CAD files, photos, and written materials produced by Hicks Furniture remain our intellectual property and may not be reproduced or shared without prior written consent.

9. Data Protection

Personal data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the EU GDPR.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
