From the Founder
The story begins on Pembroke Street, Dublin, where master cabinetmaker James Hicks founded James Hicks & Sons. Known for his meticulous craftsmanship and elegant design, his work graced embassies, royal households, and some of Ireland’s finest interiors. His mission was to simply create furniture that would endure in both structure and spirit.
As the great-grandsons of James Hicks, we continue the family tradition through eleven generations. Guided by heritage and inspired by innovation, we want to bring craftsmanship into the modern age, designing and producing bespoke and contract furniture for Ireland’s leading hotels, restaurants, and interiors. Each piece carries forward the same passion and precision that began over a century ago in a small Dublin workshop.
